Remembering Dr. Gregory M. Lynch

DMC Primary Care is deeply saddened by the passing of Gregory M. Lynch, M.D., a beloved physician, colleague, mentor and friend whose more than three decades at DMC left an enduring mark on generations of patients and the medical community.

Dr. Lynch died peacefully on July 26 following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by the people he loved. Throughout his life, he approached both the extraordinary and the everyday with the same qualities that made him such a special physician: curiosity, kindness, optimism and an openness to whatever adventure might lie ahead.

In 1989, Dr. Lynch joined DMC and began what would become a remarkable 30-year career caring for patients throughout the region.

Patients appreciated his clinical knowledge, but they remembered something even more important: the way he made them feel. Dr. Lynch had a natural ability to put people at ease. He was approachable, warm and genuinely interested in the people sitting across from him.

For his DMC colleagues, Dr. Lynch will be remembered as much for the person he was as for the physician he was: a trusted colleague, a thoughtful leader, a friend and someone who made DMC—and the community it serves—a better place.

We extend our deepest condolences to Dr. Lynch’s family and the many friends, colleagues and patients whose lives were enriched by knowing him.

We will miss you, Dr. Lynch. And we will always be grateful that your path led you to Derry Medical Center.
