MEET DR. SARAH MURAI

Dr. Murai graduated magna cum laude in 1993 from Carleton College in Northfield, MN, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She earned her Medical Degree from Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City in 2001 and completed her residency training in Family Practice at the Contra Costa Family Practice Residency Program in Martinez, CA in 2004. She is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been with DMC Primary Care since 2007.

Dr. Murai has additional expertise in weight management. She earned board certification from the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2024 and works closely with DMC’s nutrition department to provide care for both adult and pediatric patients seeking to address excess weight / obesity and related conditions.
