Caroline Ward, DO, MBA

[Raymond Office] Dr. Ward earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science (honors program) from University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH. She earned an MBA in Healthcare Leadership from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO, and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Kansas City, MO. Dr. Ward completed her Family Medicine residency at University of Missouri, Kansas City, MO in the Community and Family Medicine Program.

Dr. Ward has a passion for women’s health, pediatrics, and preventative medicine. She also enjoys doing in-office procedures including IUD and Nexplanon insertions, skin biopsies, joint injections, and more.

She values the relationships she has with her patients and strongly encourages them to become active participants in their own health.

When not working, Dr. Ward enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, going to the lake, and baking. She is working on pursuing gardening and improving her cooking skills.

Dr. Ward is excited to be back in New England and is looking forward to caring for patients of all ages in our Raymond office.

Brooke (Dorval) Hunter, PA-C

[Derry Office] Brooke earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH, and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Manchester, NH.

She sees patients of all ages for acute needs, chronic disease management, and preventative visits. She enjoys building rapport with her patients and looks forward to developing long-term relationship with each and every patient. Brooke has a special interest and experience in Orthopedics.

Brooke’s philosophy of care stems from using a collaborative approach with her patients. She believes every patient should be heard and offered options for their care every step along the way.

Brooke currently resides in Manchester with her long term significant other. She was born and raised in Derry and looks forward to treating and caring for patients in a community she knows well. In her spare time, Brooke enjoys hot yoga and has recently started re-taking piano lessons.

Julie LaPlante, APRN, FNP-BC

[Concord Office] Julie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Ohio University, OH, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Nevada State College, NV. She earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from University of Arizona, AZ. Julie is accredited with ANCC in family practice.

Julie enjoys creating lasting relationships with her patients and treating them across their lifespan. She enjoys treating children, welcoming newborns into the family, and helping seniors live their best life. Julie believes that a team approach to health care is important in creating a holistic health care plan – together.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys traveling, gardening, her chickens, and playing with her boxer puppy.

Kiersten Lagasse, APRN, FNP

[Bedford Office]

Kiersten earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner, from Rivier University, Nashua, NH.

As a family nurse practitioner, Kiersten sees patients of all ages and has a special interest in pediatrics.

In her spare time, Kiersten enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends at the lake or on the beach.

Heema Bhagat, PA-C

[Londonderry Office] Heema earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Smolensk State Medical Academy, Smolensk, Russia. She earned a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (PA-C) from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS), Manchester, NH.

Heema has years of experience in primary care, working as a physician in India. She also has experience in the urgent/acute care setting. Areas of clinical interest for Heema include immunology, allergy, and asthma. She believes in patient-centered care and individualized treatment that works well for each patient. Heema is fluent in Hindi, Gujarati and English.

In her personal time, Heema likes to spend time with her family and enjoys cooking and traveling.

Deborah Amirtham, MD

[Bedford Office] Dr. Amirtham earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. She graduated from the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency Program, Concord, NH.

Dr. Amirtham is a board-certified family medicine doctor who focuses on promoting healthful living, with a special interest in women’s health. She develops individualized treatments to address symptoms and root causes.

“I wish to be respectful, knowledgeable and conscientious in addressing concerns and I have a desire to positively impact patient health and wellbeing. I am focused on achieving realistic goals with well-crafted approaches to acute and chronic issues.”

When she is not at work providing excellent patient care, Dr. Amirtham enjoys nature, music and singing.

Sara Carrier, PA-C

[Concord and Dover Offices] Sara earned her Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Becker College, Worcester MA. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Notre Dame College, Manchester, NH and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Manchester NH.

in addition to routine preventative care, Sara enjoys working with newborns and helping new moms through the breastfeeding challenges that sometimes occur.  She also performs minor surgical procedures as well as joint and trigger point injections.  

“What I enjoy most about family practice is I am able to treat the person as a whole.  I can address and help with issues of mind, body and spirit as they are frequently intertwined in illness.  It is a privilege to take care of multiple generations in families.  I am always humbled and honored when a long-time patient brings me their newborn to care for.  I treat my patients like they are family, and many really are.  I strive to help my patients live the best life they can.”

 Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys.  If she’s not in a hockey rink, you’ll find her out on the lake, hiking on local trails with her yellow lab, planting flowers, or finding a need for a new power tool! She is not a fan of winter, but after spending 16 + years in hockey rinks, she jokes that she has learned to dress for the elements, embrace it and find joy. You’ll even occasionally find Sara on the ski slopes.
